Yet another bump in the road....

Well I had my first ambulance ride on saturday September 4th.  The day actually started out quite well but did not end that way.  I had said to Drew all day long that our little one had been tossing and turning since 4am and was pretty much non stop all day....maybe that was a sign.  We had a great day at my brother in laws with family!  We left there for the evening had the event monitor recorded at Drew's parents and headed to Giant Eagle because I wanted iced tea....maybe that was a mistake who knows?!  We were checking out and I just felt hot all of the sudden and uncomfortable.  I just wanted to get outside because I knew how cool it was outside.  I got to the bench to sit down and that is about all I remember until I could hear Drew in a far distance even though he was right next to me calling 911.  The ambulance arrived and what a trip!  Although the girls were great in the ambulance it was quite a miserable ride....they need to reinvent those things....gggeeezzz...lol!!!!  Had two small episodes on the way with palpatations which seemed to last forever.....
We finally arrive at Magee Women's Hospital they take us up to a L&D Suite where myself and our little one were monitored....everything was great with Baby Boy Curry his little heart was going at 153!  I was finally back to a normal rhythm saw one of our OB Dr's and he had much concern at this point due to the frequency of palpatations and also for my safety.  No more driving is allowed and no work probably until after delivery.
We were unsure at that point if we were staying there or going home.  Had I been at about 30 weeks I would of had to stay there, luckily we were able to come home!  We were then moved to the ER where they had better cardiac monitoring and everything remained stable and we were on our way home at 2am....very long evening to say the least.
We are continuing to follow up with the cardiologist this coming week and see where this is all coming from or just pregnancy related which is what they are thinking.   The cardiologist followed up with us on Sunday morning and was actually notified by the monitoring company  that something was not right.  The cardiologist tried to intercept us at the time of the episode but neither one of us answered my phone.  He said the entire time the episode was happening I was in a normal sinus rhythm and my heartbeat was just fast 150 at this point.  I had the heartbeat at that point of an athlete he said.  Thank goodness it never skipped a beat.
Few small episodes on Sunday and one so far today (Monday).  We are hoping these will subside!
Drew has been so awesome and calm....well somewhat calm...I feel terrible for him because I know it has to feel worse to him being on the other end as he watched me pass out.  I love him and our baby more than anything and we will get through this together :)

Journey Through Pregnancy....

Drew and I became pregnant in April of 2010 and were very much excited to find out this great news!!!!  We were both so excited to be able to start as a new family after being married on March 19, 2010!
The news of becoming pregnant was the greatest news ever and we can't wait for the arrival of Baby Boy Curry on December 28, 2010!

I wanted to start a Blogspot to keep everyone updated once our Baby Boy arrives.  Everyone seems to be doing this blogging thing so I figuared I would give it a try.....be patient...lol!

We have had our fair share of ups and downs during these first 6 mos so far.  I can only hope for an easy delivery with no more bumps in the road.  Being pregnant is the best feeling to know you are bringing a child into this world but everything that has come along with our pregnancy has not been so easy....
Severe nausea leading to dehydration and fluid replacements to heart palpatations which we are currently trying to figuare out where they are coming from and why so frequent.  I am now home from work until the Dr. figuares this all out maybe until delivery....hoping to find the reason and some type of treatment or way to handle it. I know in the end this will all be worth it!  Looking forward to holding our new little one!!!
